Who doesn't enjoy singing along to their favorite songs, how many of us really know the lyrics ? or make up their own and sing what ever we think the song says. The playstation has made this a fun pasttime at parties, and a lot of clubs and pubs have karoake nights, where you can belt it out with the best of them, and win prizes or just enjoy the experience of being on stage and get a feeling of what it would be like to wow the crowds.

Many websites list song lyrics and allow people to contribute, correct and add lyrics to popular songs, so we can get them right. Many sites have biographies, reviews, albums and a host of information for the music buff and best of all, its free. Can't get much better than that.

Food For The Soul

Music really is food for the soul, if you're feeling blue, you can always find a song to lift your mood, cry along to, release pent up emotions, whether happy, sad, angry or just pure nonsense. And who hasn't used music to set a mood, especially when love and seduction is on your mind. Dancing is also a good way of keeping fit, releasing energy and just having fun.

My son used to play the theme to Rocky whenever he had an important sports event or match coming up to help keep him focused on training or developing a particular mind set.

Many times I have searched for a song without knowing the artist and have only a few lines running through my head, and I will list a few good sites that don't only have English lyrics but have other languages as well.

A-Z Lyrics is a good site that I have found really helpful in finding songs I want. You can search by genre, (rock, blues, rap, pop, Italian, Spanish) or artist if you know them.

Another good site is FindMeATune, where you only have to type in a few lines or words from a song you want and they will find you the artist, the title and a link to the lyrics, many of these sites also give a link if you want to buy the song or album.

SongLyrics dot com is another good search site. Honestly there are so many good sites out there you can find almost any song lyrics you are searching for. If one site doesn't have what you are looking for, it shouldn't take too long to find a site that has what you want.

I have spent many a New Years Eve night singing along to Backstreet Boys, Michael Jackson, Brittany Spears, Shakira, Abba, Aqua and many others, funny how by the end of the night, and a few ales, how good everyone sounds! Something all ages can enjoy and join in.
